With the 18" barrel, and a twist rate of 1:10, what is the best weight in.308 to shoot to hit targets at +1,000 yards? I saw on other .308 forums that the 175 and 178 grain bullets were very accurate at hitting targets at that distance. However, that seemed to only be in regards to +20" barrels.
Also, that recoil is a beast. Installed a PRS buttstock and a hydraulic buffer which seemed to help a lot, but I'm still leaving the range pretty bruised. Might install a different muzzle brake, which is a shame because I really like the aesthetics of the one that came with the rifle.
