The AR-10 type..... what mags does it use - proprietary?

Is this the old Bushmaster .308 rifle re-hashed? Didn't they have a lot of problems?

Too bad they didn't use a 1 in 9" twist for .243. Also too bad they chose 7mm-08 over .260 Rem. The 7mm-08 is the near-twin of .308, whereas .260 splits the difference halfway between .243 and .308. Make one in .260 with 1 in 8" twist and I'll buy one, Remington.

:scrutiny:

Remington ARs are DPMS rifled not Bushmaster. I would assume they use DPMS mags.

Hmm, so their AR15s are Bushmasters but their AR10s are DPMS? Possible, but doesn't seem very likely.

Each rifle is provided with a four-round magazine and is compatible with all aftermarket AR 308 Win. type magazines and accessories.

That's pretty funny of Rem to say that since there are several difference varieties, with I'm pretty sure different specs.

Think I'll avoid the R25. Too many hinky issues there.

Remington, Bushmaster, and DPMS are all owned by the same parent company, so it is not too odd to see Remington sell both makes of rifles. The R25 looks to be a rebranded DPMS rifle, and looks to take DPMS/SR25 mags.
