Im looking to put something on the AR and have a couple of questions.

I used to have a cheapy NC Star red dot on my AR but it wouldnt adjust so I pitched it.

I also noticed the Osprey scope for the .223 on e-bay and was wondering if anyone has tried them.

My AR is not a flat top and I dont want to put a standard riflescope on it. I am looking for a red dot or some type of compact fixed power scope to attach to the carry handle.

My budget isnt the greatest right now with two vehicles getting repaired thanks to the crappy Tucson drivers (one without insurance) so I cant afford the ACOG that I want.

Give me some ideas to go with.

They seem to go for around $160 - $170 at the various places I see listing them. I found some dealers stocking the Hakkos by searching for "Hakko rifle scope" on Froogle.

Get a cantilevered sight mount and put the reddot in the same plane as the iron sights, a dot on top of the carry handle is way up there in chin weld range

The Colt 3x20 carry handle scope is a good one

Well, I just ordered a Hakko scope from Personalsecurityzone.com for my Colt AR-15A3. I'll post a writeup after I get it.

I ordered a Leapers yesterday. Figured Id give it a try.

When I build my next AR (flat top left hand model) I plan on getting a high quality scope for it.

Thanks for the ideas.
