alleyzonme, would you try to break your text up into paragraphs? It is very difficult for me to read all that like it is.

Thanks.

Some of us entertain these notions:

(1) Someone who's served his/her time (paid his/her debt to society) ought to have all rights restored.

(2) Our country is getting too "tattle-taley."

(3) Guilt comes after the crime, not before it. (See (1) above.)

(4) Some laws creating "crimes" are constitutionally invalid.

(5) I ought to mind my own business.

But not all of us entertain these old-fashioned notions.

I agree totally with "mind your own business" until somebody comes into my house and terrorizes my kids/family. Nope....then old fashion tradition says I am going to take action.

You should also be aware that criminal liability likely applies to your sister as well.

She has apparently, from what you state, supplied both a firearm and ammo to a prohibited person. Now wether she'd be prosecuted is a call that only your prosecutor can make, BUT she is in jeopardy as well.........as HSO stated, you have a mess and you'd likely be best served by distancing yourself from it.

Did you file a police report regarding the "drunken rage" incident? Have you filed a restraining order? Did you instruct your children to stay away from your BIN and run for help if he's drunk/angry? Do you own a firearm for HD and do you and your husband know how to use it for such? Have you ensured your doors/locks and windows are strong and properly secured? Do you lock the doors even when you're at home? Are you keeping a diary on things that happen with your BIN?

reminds me of the story where a fella walked up to a gentleman smoking by the gas station, the fella says "hey, you cant do that, thats dangerous!" the other fella says "oh yea? its not as dangerous as NOT minding your own business" bang

thank you all for the input and info for the questions and concerns I have, it has been most helpfu and appreciated.

If you have information on a previously convicted felon possessing firearms illegally, then call your local police department/sheriff's office, and/or the nearest office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and give them all the information you have regarding this criminal activity. It's that simple.

I believe the OP appears to be finished with this thread, and has removed most of the content, so I'll close it now.
