anyone with a taurus model 94 having touble with various rounds not going off? ever send it to the factory only to get it returned with a hard trigger pull because they put stainless washers under the hammer/mainspring and/or a harder spring?

I've done this 3!! times and it worked every time!

the problem is that hammer is now allowed to travel forward enough before it hits the frame. There is a small lip on the top edge of the hammer slot "under rear sight" if you look you'll probably notice it's deforming or shiny... If you feel compitent enough all you'll need is to dremel or needle file that down flush/flat and you'll get all 9 shots to go off on the first hit from firing pin.

same problem was on my dads, my uncles and my friends model 94 .22lrs 2 old style "first gen" and 1 new style. the new style also had what looked like a bead of metal or a burr down further in the hammer slot that was making no shots go off. it was also making a dent in the hammer everytime the trigger was pulled...

feel free to flame me all you want but I've done it 3 times and it worked everytime with no problems/complications or regrets.

ps after doing the fix, I took out all the shims/washers they had under the hammer spring and now they have nice SA and DA trigger pulls...

P.S is it just him or does everybody owning one have a "rough" new style? The bore was rough, cynlinder etc.etc.... I had to lap the bore just to remove burrs and keep it from "leading up" after 20 shots... is there no quality control at taurus?
