Okay...

What's the easiest way to take the carry handle off ... I'm born and raised in the South, so please give by the numbers instructions ! haha

Looks like in web searches; found where some cut the handle off and where others removed and replaced with washer.

Instructions on the "how to" were really not there...

So any help with regards to how to either cut off (best tool that will cut close/clean and not damage gun or non-cut method) and what type washer is used and why is a washer needed ?

Thanks for the help ... I'm sure I'll have more questions as i learn the gun and additions I want to make.

First remove the handguards, then remove the has piston.
Once those are out of the way, the tube/nut that guides the piston on the receiver side can be removed (it may be hard to remove, so you might need a wrench to do it).
After that has been removed you can then pull/coax the carry handle off.

As for the washer...

There is no mechanical need for the washer but most people use one so the rifle doesn't look funny. It's just personal preference.

Here ya go

You could probably head to the hardware store and find something to work with and make your own. Considering the price of shipping that part I'd look into it.

Thanks for the info... now providing

removing the gas tube won't present too many problems, I'm good...

Will check the manual... don't guess taking the gas piston off and then putting back on will affect anything ?

Man, I'm so rusty with weapons now... way back when I could take the M60 and the 5.56 and disassemble/assemble blindfolded...

LOL.. now I've never owned a weapon like this one, so I'm just overly cautious... don't want to foul/screw anything up... ya know.

Really just need to spend some time with the manual and take apart and assemble and get all comfy with it...

Thanks again for the patience and info
