Quick Question (Lee Pro 1000 dies)

I have no experience with these dies, but I happened to run across them on Midway and wondered the same thing; I saw this Q&A for the 223 set:

Sure they will work in any standard 7/8th's inch threaded press, there nothing special about them other than they are optimised to work on a three hole progressive press so they do more and different opperations per die than say an RCBS die would, so you just need to use the accordingly, but they load good ammo, I've loaded literly thousands of round of several calibers using these die both in my progressive press and single stage press (I have an RCBS and an old C&H and Lee chalanger single stage presses) they work fine on all of them.

Three people liked the answer (with no down votes!) so if a total of four random strangers on the internet think it's true, then it must be. ;)

I bought 2 set, Why not $16 for .223 dies! If all else fails, buy a Lee Pro 1000 when it gots on sale

The Lee Pro 100 die set is just a standard full length die, a standard seating die and a short powder charging die.
Good dies, I use the hell out of them for my .223 blammo ammo.
They are $16 on Midway, if you need extras

Dies that can be used in a Lee Pro 1000 can be used in almost every other
large name press (7/8 x 14)

I don't have any experience with the small shop presses.

The only other press I'm sure they can NOT be used in is the Dillon Square Deal B.
That press uses proprietary dies. :cuss:

Are they the same as regular dies?
No. Difference looks like Pro 1000 die set comes with short charging die but no FCD, shell holder or powder dipper while Pacesetter comes with full length sizing die along with Factory Crimp Die and shell holder/dipper.

For ALL progressive press die sets, the Shell Holder, Powder Dipper and Funnel Adapter & corresponding O-Ring are NOT included as they are not needed on the progressive presses.

I bought a SDB, it’s going to be my FUDD press and will only load .45 ACP, a mans round! and my .45 ACP will only be shot out of a 1911!

maybe a CZ 97 in the near future
