micrometer powder measuring! wow!Yep. If you have a Redding 3BR powder measure with a missing or damaged metering chamber, then yes, you need that. Otherwise, not so much.
Since we are talking about powder drop. Does anybody know a good case acrivated powder drop.
Want to replace my Lee drop that came with my Pro 4000. at 25gn I’m +\- 1/2 a grain. that’s bad

They are not cheap - but I do like mine. I have the 10x and BR-30 - covers me thru the grain ranges I load.

There was a quote "buying cheap is expensive" - I guess this is the same a "buy once, cry once".....
to make the Lee Pro, 1/2 way functional. I have to Size & Prime & M expander the case separatelyThe Lee progressive is a brass processor. If you insist on making loaded ammo with it at least feed it primed brass.
The Mark 7 Mechanical Powder measure is excellent. I've run it on a Dillon 750 and a Hornady LNL AP. The Mechanical one might not be as consistent as the Digital one, but it's also less than half the costSince we are talking about powder drop. Does anybody know a good case acrivated powder drop.
Lol, it's ok. You can sell all the Lee stuff on FB market place for more than you paid for it, then get yourself a Dillon

I’ve been using the RCBS Uniflow with great success !Both Hornady and RCBS market a case activated powder drop system that can be used on any press with 7/8-14 threads.
Hornady's is called the "Case activated powder drop", RCBS's probably has a similar name.

Both are almost identical and both will work with either the Hornady L-N-L powder measure or the RCBS Uniflow powder measure.
Also, you will need a variety of sleeves such as this one to mate the powder measure system to the cartridge that you are loading. There are some like this one and some that have a section that fits inside the case and bells the mouth of the case at the same time.

The Redding powder measures can be modified to work with these case activated systems but they require modification to the powder measure. I have a Redding 10-X that I use for loading miost hangun cartridges on my progressive presses.
