I’ll be trading a 22 pistol (a TALA) for one of these tomorrow and I’m not decided yet.
Funny thing is ( or sad) I already owned both of these brands and models before.
The Taurus 94 I got rid of because it was cursed with light strike, only ½ the cylinder would go off when fired in DA.
The Bersa? I don’t know, accuracy wasn’t that good ( or I wasn’t good at the time) and I used it to pay for some other gun.
Now, these guns I’ll be seeing tomorrow, the Bersa 23 is in like new condition, something not very common for an older all steel 23, granddaddy of the Bersa Thunder 22. So that is rather nice.
The Taurus seems to be in proper condition, lost some finish here and there, not as nice shape as the Bersa 23 but still nice working condition.
I really want a revolver for shooting all that weak 22 LR ammo that wont cycle on autos, I’ve been wanting a 9 shot 22LR revolver for some time now, and I would be VERY pleased if I choose the Taurus and later find out that it works ok firing all rounds without a problem, unlike my previous 94.
The idea is to get something that can fire ANY 22LR, that can be used to train new shooters, and in a pinch used for defense loaded with hot ammo, the 9 round cylinder being only one round short of the 10 round auto magazine. The revolver would be ideal for this.
Unlike the Taurus, the Bersa is of indisputable quality. Even in the rare occasion of getting a lemon, as long as I live or any living person holds this little gem, ( zombies not accepted :)) you can go knock at Bersa’s door and they’ll fix it. Fix it for real, not like Taurus did with my 94 and it’s light striking problem with non stopping misfired.
What should I do? Give the 94 a second chance, risk it and maybe finally get a 9 round 4” 22LR revolver which I’ve been wanting for so long, capable of better accuracy and handling any 22LR round weak or hot, or should I go the safe way, and go with the Bersa and forget about shooting crappy ammo that is too light?
No, can’t shoot them, wouldn’t be asking his if I could fire them before buying.
I’ve got to pick either one tomorrow, so advice and any help is appreciate.;)

My Taurus 94 has been great, but I'd go for the Bersa because its not so common, and might be hard to find later, whereas the Taurus 94 is easy to find and likely still will be years from now.
