Well I did as well. But unfortunately Maryland is smack in between Virginia and Pennsylvania. I don't see any way to get from Texas to Pennsylvania without going through at least one state that doesn't honor my CHL, and the little stretch of MD is the smallest. D.C, Baltimore, New York City and Boston were on our list of destinations (we didn't make it to Boston).
