Would someone be willing to run quickloads:

480 Ruger
Hornady Brass
Win Large Pistol Primer
Speer 325 Jacketed Soft Flat Nose (#3978)
COAL 1.650"
Hi Skor 800-x powder

I cannot find any published 800-x jacketed data for 480 ruger. The 800-x is used in many medium/strong 44 magnum, and 45 colt loads so I don't see why it wouldn't be a good fit for the 480. I like the powders bulkiness, a safety feature preventing double charges. In my experience it has burned quite a bit cleaner than Unique too.

Thanks in advance if anyone is willing to help.

I venture a guess of 10.0gr Starting, to 13.5 Max. (This is NOT published but purely a speculation)

Quickload V3.9 (newest version) does not have data for 800-X powder.

I was going to try using a powder with a similar burn rate to give you somewhere to start, but the burn rate charts have 800-X all over the place and none seem to agree so I don't feel comfortable trying that.

If you want to check out the burn rate charts yourself and see if you feel comfortable using a different powder with a similar burn rate I'd be happy to try it for you.

Might try emailing Hodgdon/IMR and see if they have anything.

Best case they do, worst case you wasted time sending an email.

Yep 800-x is not in Quickloads and I really wish it was. It's my favorite 10mm Auto and 44 Mag powder. The probable with using something near it on the burn chart is the burn rate may be similar to another powder but if the bulk density is also not close to the same then the case volume used will be very different and this will have a big impact on pressure. 800-x has a rather low bulk density due to the large flakes and there are not many powders of similar grain size near it on the burn charts.
