Nope. I think any sort of political or "death" inscription on a carry gun is a very bad idea.

I agree with this, which is why nothing is going on my carry gun...

I put some bright green on the side of the hammer on my M92. It makes for a very quick visual indication that the rifle is not cocked and therefore in a safe condition.

That is actually a great idea! I'm totally gonna copy that.

Wife and I both have a Gadsden flag (no yellow background) laser engraved on the top of the slide of our carry pistols. Hers is a CZ Rami. Mine is a Glock 19. We also have our trust name engraved on our SBR AR lower in 223 and our three supressors, one each in 300 BO, .223 and 22lr. The 300 BO AR upper also wears a dust cover engraved with 300 BO so it shows whether the dust cover is open or closed.

If I had a 50 bmg I might add
"With great power comes great responsibility"

I have an ar10 that is named Hillary after the woman who prompted me to purchase it about 3 years ago. Fitting that both are ugly and weigh too much. Needs a Hillary dust cover for sure.

Funny.

It was HRH that got me into owning AR-15’s. My intent was to buy several lowers and flip them after she won the election. Well we know how that turned out and I have since become a AR-15 cult member. Be as that may I can not stomach a safe full of Hillary.

Boondock Saints much? Ha ha, I've thought about that, but I don't have matching pistols like you, and those those are fine looking pieces!
I had to backtrack the thread after reading that. Boondocks saints is one of my favorite movies to watch just from the pure idiocy and over the top gunfights. My girls moved in 2 years ago, and anybody who knows the movie understands why I haven’t watched it since.

I'd forgot about Grip zone. I hated that. Between stamping Grip zone on the grip and shipping a gun with Made in Croatia on the slide in a box colored up like the american flag....I hated the XD before I even fired one.

I have a few personalized guns, actually several now that I think of it:

Most are based on my faith and on an ancient fraternity that my family has been associated with for generations.

Been waiting for your post of your firearms because of seeing them in the past.:)

I have logos and sayings on four of my AR-15's. In fact I labeled a AR yesterday with a Ejection Port Cover that says ".223 Wylde". My primary defense AR has a Ejection Port Cover engraved with the American Flag waving. I have two AR Lowers engraved with the "Betsy Ross Flag" and a American Flag with the saying "These Colors Never Run".

I am giving a lot of thought of building a couple of Texas Model AR's using engraved lowers for family members. I would like to find lowers engraved with the Texas State Flag as I prefer flags but I may have to settle for the map of Texas with a star cutout.

I don't add any language to my guns, not wishing to put anything into the minds of any DA's, plaintiff's attorneys or jurors who might have cause to see it. You never know if it might come back to haunt you ...

Remember this? https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/cops-ar-15-dust-cover-inscription-used-against-him-in-court/

I remember the case apparently better than you. The ejection port cover was ruled inadmissible as evidence so it was a not considered by the Jury. What did convict him was shooting a unarmed man five times who was on the ground following the Officer's commands.

That was that criminal trial, and the way the particulars of that case were involved. The rules regarding the admissibility of evidence for criminal trials are one thing, though. The fact that it was even attempted was concerning to a lot of the cops (and fellow instructors) I knew. It was a topic among students from various agencies during a Patrol Rifle class I was helping teach at the time.

My greater concern, however, would be how something of that nature might be used in a civil trial by jury.

(And yes, that cop had much bigger problems, self-inflicted, than his juvenile mindset about adorning his weapon's dustcover with something of that nature. ;) )
