Anyone have any recommendations for a mil dot scope for this weapon. price range 200-400, im just starting out with precision shooting, i dont want a pos scope but i dont want to spend 1200 on a practice only scope. thanks

It has a mildot reticle, turrets and side focus. Also look at a Nikon Buckmasters they have them on midway for $299 now I think.

realy happy with the Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-15 x 40 with mildots on mine. Just wish it had target knobs.

This is a great scope. I just don't care for the fixed 16x power. That's the only reason for the sale.

Some experienced precision users really like the 16x for range use. It really lets you see small targets (1") to 200-300 yards. 16x is about as much power as you can use in most mirage conditions and it works well off a bipod or other fully supported conditions. It works well to any range a .308 can shoot. I have a 16xM1 on a Barrett .50 and have shot to 1500 yards with it. A 10x can be shot off hand with difficulty , a 16x probably not without a full target sling up.
That Super sniper auction if it doesn't go over $300 is a real good deal IMHO.
