i am having trouble seeing my front sight in low light, ie. sundown to 30 minutes after. I am thinking a radioactive bead might work but am wondering if the glow might then obscure my target. anyone using a radioactive front bead.
i have already tried removing the insert and just use the ghost ring on my williams foolproof sight without getting the results i hoped for.

Tritium sights work best in the lower light levels towards the end of the window you want.

If you have a front sight with tritium capsule and a ring of high visibility luminous paint you may get the benefits you're looking for.

If that doesn't work a powered reflex sight (red dot) may be the only answer.

Thanks HSO. i looked at brownells, seems like plenty of shooter have tried this arangement of sights. i think i will try the glow paint first as it certainly sounds like it has promise.
