Today was supposed to be one of the ultra rare days when my wife actually comes to the range with me. Unfortunately we have already gotten 3" of rain and it doesn't seem to be letting up, and thunder and lightning. A little bit of rain and we would have gone since shooting area is covered but constant downpour with lightning, I'll have to pass...maybe next weekend she'll agree to come again!

The indoor range will probably be packed but she REALLY doesn't like it there and I don't care much for the place either (and it is on the other side of town from me), I guess I'll get some reloading done today.

Anyone else's gun plans get screwed up by mother nature and are you replacing with an indoor gun activity?

If it makes you feel any better DFW is getting rained on as well..... I was
supposed to be off work at 2 today. So much for the range trips.

Come up north a bit to OK...the rain here freezes on its way down, so we're looking at a nice ice storm that started yesterday and isn't scheduled to quit til tomorrow night...no lightning though, so I guess that is the good part.

yeah, it pretty much has been raining here 5 days a week, for forever....

and some people not in texas probably think texas is hot & sunny all year...

I wish...!

Its been raining here since 9:00 a.m yesterday  . I wanted to go out to the farm today and burn up some .223 I have taking up space in the cabinet. Guess I will just have to settle for some pistol shooting at the indoor range. They have rifle lanes but I just never saw the point in shooting rifles at 25 yards. On a side note this infernal never ending rain has decided to turn into ice. I hope I dont end up spending the day in the dark as well (the power grid here stinks).

I know we need the rain, so other than spoiling my plans I am happy to have it. I am also happy that the drainage in my neighborhood is working!

Reloading and THR will be my firearm outlets for the day :)

I always look forward to a rainy weekend day. Keeps the crowds away from the outdoor range, which has a roof! Just have to wear the mud boots.

We are getting a nice ice/snow storm...

I am sitting by the fire here in Wichita watching the ground turn white, from a mix of sleet, snow, and maybe some ice. I think we are fortunate, it looks like south and east of us a major ice storm will hit, or is hitting already.

What a great Saturday morning, fresh coffee, great fire in the fireplace, and THR...

I'm going to go to the range today to try out my new XD 9 and as my luck would have it, it looks to be the coldest day so far this winter. Something like 7 degrees with windchill factored in. It was even a beautiful 40 degrees just 2 days back. Damnit.

Yup, last Sunday was sunny and 55F but we chose that day to steam clean the carpets and clean up the house. Then this weekend was for shooting. Ah well...

Maybe tomorrow if it lets up. The lightning stopped so that is good!
