Well not all of their powder, but a couple.

Accurate 2520 will now be manufactured by St Marks in FL with a slight change in shape and more temperature stability.

They are also splitting up X-Terminator and 2230 and they will be two separate powders.

2230 will be moving to St Marks as well, while X-T will remain a Belgium powder with an added Copper Fouling agent.

I wonder why they are spitting their operations at Western Powders unless it's to hedge against future problems with supplies. I guess they learned from the fires at plants in Autralia and Belgium which stopped the supply of many popular powders. The fire at AD I was a big one and extremely disruptive, ask the users of Clays and Varget about that.

The problem with obtaining powders overseas is the shipping. The shipping companies only allow one shipping container of powder per ship, which severely restricts the amount of powder that can be imported at any one time. A 40' container of powder gets spread pretty thin when you spread it out over an entire continent.....

Hodgdon has already contracted with General Dynamics Canada for the production of Clays, simply due to the shipping constraints. Other popular powders as well could be moved to North American manufacturers as production capacity increases.

Hope this helps.

Hey, I'm just glad they are working towards keeping the supplies available to us. I know they are doing it for their benefit but at lease we benefit too. It seems current production methods allow for different companies at different locations to produce the same powders with little to no variations. I'm good with all of this. :)

That means St. Mark's will be hiring more workers. My SIL has an application in there.

If he gets a job there, I think they'll be primed for an explosion too. ;)

You would think they would all move production to the US since we consume more powder than the rest of the world combined.

Just my .02,

Fella's;

I had been wondering why Ramshot Magnum was so hard to find these days. I would presume the fires are the reason. Is there any news as to when full production for Accurate & Ramshot will be possible?

Cool. Now we know how to fix the economy. Only allow one container of anything coming to the US per ship.

It will all move back here. :D
