ramshot powders

I have a friend who uses Silhouette for 124 9mm major (1500 fps) loads, and his only complaint is the popcorn/unburnt powder particles.
Another with light/normal 9mm Luger loads says the same.
Is this consistent throughout the load range?

AA #9 and Enforcer use different charge weights in .300 BLK with 125 Gr bullets to get to the same velocity. I have used a lot of AA #9 and just started playing with Enforcer. I do not think they are the same powder. Similar? Sure, just like WST & Competition, and Zip and W231, but not the same. IMO

Here, found a copy of my email to Ramshot dated back in 2010. I asked if #9 and Enforcer were the same powder, here is Johan reply.

Steve,
That is not true.
Enforcer is much slower burning and is actually the same as A-4100.

a) See how many errors you can find in this statement from ~ 2007.
b) Speculate on why those errors were generated.

Myself, I can't help but think it had something to do with what I showed about AA#9 blowing up CZ52s.

"Lynn,
As a result of various technical reasons, the data in the initial print
(year 2000) of the no 2 guide were not tested against a verifiable
standard or protocol.
As a result wrong conclusions and assumptions were made. The result was
that the initial loads were too high.
The recent adjustments were made in two phases i.e.
a) A Reduction in velocity to conform to the correct barrel length since
the initial velocities was for a 9 test barrel.
b) The adjustment of the actual charge weights to conform to the only
Specification/protocol in existence i.e. CIP Commission International
Permanente which is the authority, since this caliber does come from
Europe.
This pressure limit is : <2400bar or 34809Psi.
The final loads as published on the website are thus inline with these
standards.
However, due to the strong design of the CZ 52 pistol, people have been
using ex submachine gun(i.e. PPsh-41) ammunition from the eastern bloc,
which obviously were loaded to a much higher levels, and some of these
will function in the CZ 52 pistol. However, there is ammunition that
will even destroy the CZ 52.
Although the CZ52 gun can handle much higher pressures than some other
weapons it has never been incorporated into an official specification.
The strength of this gun is renowned, which lead to many estimations
of performance and a reputation of being able to handle just about
anything out there on the market.
This is obviously not true and we deemed it necessary to conform to the
official International specifications for the cartridge.

I should add it was associated with when Accurate Arms "revised" their hot loads for the CZ52 only. This
example is for 110 gr SPR RN 1.3":
a) The hot load from 2000: 11.7 gr AA#9 41,800 c.u.p 1688 fps
b) The wimpy load from 2005 8.5 gr AA#9, 34270 psi, 1248 fps

But if I plug that into Quickload, the load changes from 64 kpsi to 23 kpsi.

I really like Ramshot powders! Silhouette is my favorite in a lot of handgun calibers! It is the 'new' WAP powder, so it's great for whatever you used to use WAP for!

When I couldn't find H110 a few months ago I got 1lb of Enforcer. I like it just as well as the hodgdon I was using. I've used it in 32h&r, 327 fm, 41 mag and 454 with good results.

Zip, true blue and tac are also ramshot powders I've heard good things about but I haven't gotten around to them yet.
