Random thoughts National Security,War on terrorism,confidence in leaders,common sense
I'm surprised these topics haven't been more discussed here on the HighRoad:
NOTE: To be perfectly clear on this , this is not a racist or anti-semitic topic. The terrorist are Muslims, I haven't heard of any terrorists, insugents, or whatever they choose to call themselves being any other religion?
Why do they react this way? Are they taught differently then the rest of us and other Muslims? So don't take things out of context that I'm speaking of all Muslims, I am not.
A cartoon causes Muslims to riot, burn cars, and destroy other's properties over . A special Mosque gets bombed by Muslims and they riot and want to kill each other. That's a bit of over reaction.
In comparison American churches burned by arsonists in the south, and the reaction is we investigate to find the criminals and rebuild.
United States security. Our president wants us to trust his judgement solely, to allow the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to run 6 American ports.
But the president does not trust his constituents with their 2nd Amendment Rights as they are written, or honor their 4th Amendment rights. But then none of that affects him or his loved ones. His administration failed miserably on preventing and then during the 11th September 2001 terrorist attacks.
Homeland security and FEMA have no confidence in their leadership.
The FBI, NSA, CIA, and the US military's good people's work fall on deaf ears.
Watch the hearings of whistle blowers on C-Span, also the 9/11 hearings. Our soldiers have a good description for it "FUBAR".
The UAE is a Arab state run organization, they are Muslim. Da...we are fighting Muslims, a terrorist sect of them but all Muslim. Muslims have killed over 2300 of our young soldiers, not to mention those that are wounded, amputees, or died before in terrorist attacks. I know there are good Muslims, but how can you turn over a large portion of the security of the United States to Muslim run country at this time? Or anytime for that matter. UAE inhibits investigations into banking of some of their members. UAE people were involved in 11th Sept attacks. They don't like us. They use us. Sure UAE gave alot of money to relief for Hurricane Katrina, they got plenty of money and it buys goodwill to distract us. Thanks but no thanks. We need to keep them at a safe distance.
Some of my ancestors were Italian, they lost rights and property in WWII, even though my Sicilian grandpa was a decorated doughboy in WWI.
But you cannot go from one extreme to the next and give the security of a country to a government run organization that has ties to a deadly enemy. It's just horse sense. Coming from Texas you'd think George would know that.
I submit we don't need Homeland security or Fema. We don't even need the BATF. That's millions or billions that could be better spent elsewhere. Americans pull together and fix it themselves when it's broke.
We already have a national law enforcement, the FBI. We have to many stumbling over themselves and then not sharing or ignoring the intelligence. KISS kicks in here, Keep It Simple Stupid.
We already have the resources of our National Gaurd, the military, the law enforcement, and fire dept's. When a disaster happens you just have to let the people help themselves, give them the money, tools and freedom to do the job and be proud. Not tie their hands behind their backs while government bureacracy procrastinates, postulates, and dictates.
