range costs?

The closest indoor range to me is $10/day, $5 for addl. shooter on the same lane. Don't know about member pricing, don't go there often enough to be concerned with it.

Another indoor range about an hour away charges $15/hour.

I too hate indoor ranges for the reasons mentioned above, and usually shoot at a DNR-run public range for free (well, not counting taxes...). I only go to the indoor ranges if they have something I want to rent.

knights trail on the gulf coast of florida is $11 for the day. Not too bad. They have 100yard, 50 yards 25 yard and 7 yard spots i believe

When I shoot at the indoor range, it costs $15 for the day, if I go during the week. However, Friday is half price, so that is usually when I go. $7.50 for the day isn't too bad.

Outdoor rifle and pistol range, with a $50 a year membership they give you the combination to the gate where you have access anytime.
Rangemaster? What is that?:)

Indoor range: $3.50 for a veteran, $7.00 non veteran.

Outdoor range: $20.00 all day from 9AM to 5PM.

And believe it or not, I live in NY!...

rugerbob, I am in southern ME too. I am looking to join a club near my house. I do not know if they have an indoor range, but they have plate shoots every weekend and an outdoor range. About $100 to join, for the family and $75 a year.

The local indoor range is $30.00 a year and $7.50 per visit. Nonmembers pay $15.00 per visit. Not a bad deal when you consider that 6-7 months out of the year it's cold outside.

There are a couple ranges around here, but the only one I've been to is free. However, the catch is you have to buy their ammo. And they kinda stick it to ya on that. Buying their ammo also includes powder/bullets and such for muzzleloaders and IIRC, it also applies to reloaded ammo.

Couple of buddies have gone to the NRA range but I don't remember how much it was.

I have a range in my yard complete with a dozen steel plates, dueling trees, poppers, and frames for paper targets. Wish I could share it with you guys.

About $10.00 per visit at firing ranges around here. Stay until closing time if you want.

Found a great spot out in the desert near Elko, NV when driving back from Utah with my sons. Bought a couple of cases of Diet Pepsi on sale and slaughtered them all. First time shooting outside of a range in many, many years. :) Made the younger one range master and he kept us all safe.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to hit a flying Pepsi can with a Ruger P89 9mm? :D

The county range in Indian County Florida is $9 for 3 hours. However they never push on the time limit. And it's a top notch range with good personnel, so I don't mind the price a bit.

I pay 100.00 a year for unlimited use (with a guest) of the indoor range near me. I belong to an outdoor range as well, that is 75.00 a year for a 50 and 100 yard range.

Here in RI

I belong to a sportsmans club, $225/yr, 200 yd range, trap range, stocked trout pond, club house.
The state range is free, but no centerfire rifle.
Good luck.

2 dollar flat fee at my public range. Free to shoot on the Army Base. Some of these prices you guys posted are ridiculous.

Couple of buddies have gone to the NRA range but I don't remember how much it was.

I shoot there, it is a really nice range. It is $18 an hour if your not a NRA member, $14 an hour if you are. Each additional person is $8-12 depending on NRA membership. Yearly membership is $300/350 again depending on NRA membership.

Please shoot safely. A 9mm bullet is not spherical shot, and fired into the air at such angles has a much greater range than even fired straight ahead. It also comes down from such angles with much of its horizontal velocity remaining and can be quite dangerous.

I have seen free outdoor places closed for such behavior. Some individuals with rifles decided to try shooting clays with rifles. The rounds were landing on private property miles away damaging vehicles and even injuring animals.

They failed to understand a rifle is not a shotgun and a bullet fired in such a way remains dangerous, while small spherical shot loses velocity and lands much closer and is almost harmless when it comes down (except to an exposed eye.)
A pistol round won't go as far, but it will be dangerous far from where you are.
