First time shooting this rifle on the 200 yard range
DPMS Pattern 308 cal.
Balistic Advantage 16" barrel and BCG
A2 butt stock
A2 military style front sight
Troy fixed aperture rear sight (functionally military style)
Mid length gas system and hand guard.
No rails. No float. No glass. No brake. No flash hider. No toys.
All business old school and simple
Conditions: Gusty winds. About 40 degrees F. Intermittent rain. Overcast.
Ammo: Hirtenberger 1976 millsurp 7.62 x 51 NATO)
Position: This group was shot with the iron sights from standing with a tripod.
Conditions limited performance, but it's a start. The close coupled iron sights make this rifle a real challenge, but the objective of the build was simplicity, durability, and compactness. It breaks down and fits in a knapsack real nice.
