Went with my boss and a co-worker to the range at lunch. Here are the guns I got to shoot:
Mine: Glock 19 and 26
Boss: Colt Government Model .45, S&W .357 3 inch bbl K frame, CZ 75 9mm
Co-Worker: Kahr P40, S&W .357 revolver 4 inch bbl.
Besides my Glocks, I liked the CZ 75 and the Colt Government Model .45 the best. All were easy to shoot and shoot accurately.
I need more range time with .357. Flinched in anticipation of recoil. Couldn't hit a darn thing. On paper but not on target. Now, the .38 special through the 4 inch .357 was a piece of cake.
Everyone hated the Kahr P40. The recoil was violent to say the least in such a small gun. May be good for CCW, but I didn't care for it.
Both my boss and the co-worker liked my Glocks. They were surprised at how easy they were to shoot.
Sight line was more intuitive with the semiauto's. Not used to the sight line of the revolvers.
Next purchase will be a 1911 with a CZ75 to follow. I was impressed with both of them.
