I got a chance to dial in the scope on my Marlin 25MN on Saturday. It's a great rig. We set up a table about 30-35 yards away from a large, u-shaped dirt pile that we used as a backstop. I wanted to be further out, but that's where we set everything up and I wasn't unsatisfied in the least. It was a good distance to get everything broken in.

I used a large coffee can with a towel over it as a bench rest. It only took about 8 rounds to get everything sighted perfectly. The scope, for as cheap as it was, performed flawlessly and was clear as a bell (Thanks, Rangerruck).

The gun is incredibly accurate. After getting used to the trigger pull, I could easily put a shot into the center of the O in "Coke" on the side of the can. The bolt was a little sticky at first, but after about 25 shots, it was nice and smooth. It's a great rifle that I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking into a bolt-action .22 WMR.

I was using 33 grain Remington Premier Accu-Tip ammo. The gun seems to really like it. I may pick up some CCI just to see if there's any discernable difference, but I got great results with the Remingtons.

The two cans in the picture are my best 3-shot groups. The one on the left was while sitting, no rest. The one on the right (group in top left of can bottom) was on my improvised rest.

**Not pictured: we also had my FNP-9, two Ruger 10/22s, a Ruger Mark III Hunter, and a Remington 870 20 gauge. Great day.

Just a quick update. I went to an actual range over the weekend with measured distances and shot at 50yds. I also used 2 different kinds of ammo. The first picture shows two 3-shot groups with 40gr. CCI JHPs (the flyer by the '9' happened when my rest tilted on the bench as I was firing). It was the first time I've tried them and I was happy with how accurate they are. The second picture shows a 3-shot group with the same Remington 33gr. AccuTip ammo I used last time. Still gave great results.

    Take care.
