I shot my new in the box 4" model 66-2 at the shooting hole last weekend.....and it was awesome! I fired 200 rounds of winchester white box .38special 130 grain FMJ, 50 rounds of 125gr .38+P, and 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 158 gr .357.
The .38s hit right on point of aim, recoil was extremely gentle, and my only problem was that I had to reload every 6 shots. I was able to set up 6 metal people at 10 yards, and hit each one twice before it hit the ground!
The .357s grouped tightly but hit about 6 inches higher than the lighter bullets did. I forgot to bring a screwdriver with me so I was not able to adjust the sights. These gold dots really had a hard thump of a recoil, but it put a smile on my face to launch 6 of these as fast as I could, and still hit the chest of a sillhouette at 15 yards
What a great gun, I love the S&W K-frames......
