Bought a lightly used S&W 629-6 yesterday. Took it to the range today and was very impressed. I was shooting 7.3 Grns of Trailboss under a 240 grn LSWC. At 40 yards I was fairly consistently hitting the 5 inch black ring on my targets. I brought it home and spent about 2 hours polishing it with the Mothers Mag polish as described on the forum. It really shines now. I am sure that continued polishing would make it mirror finished but my fingers are sore and that’s probably as good as it is going to get.

With factory loads, man does that thing bark. After 6 rounds, I went back to my light handloads.

Nice G. by your description it sounds like a good shooter. I picked up a similarly used 629-6 44 mag Mtn gun last fall for 450, and it's really a good looking and shooting gun.
Hey, how do I post a picture in large format like yours. Good luck! Frisco
