Mine has the same off center hammer I've had 5 stovepipes and at least 2 failure to feed. Is the frame peening causing the hammer to get off center?

RemUMC FMJ and American Eagle FMJ into it.

Lots of reports of FTF's with Remington UMC. No other ammo has been specifically mentioned so far as causing issues. I have had 6 different types of ammo through the LCP so far...no issues except the very first mag down range. Winchester WWB and SXT, PMC Bronze, Fiocchi FMJ and HP, Speer GD's and Cobon DPX.

I've added Corbon DPX and Winchester WB FMJ to the list of 'no problem' ammo, but Silver Bear FMJ would not go into battery on nine of the ten rounds I tried, and one of the rounds that didn't go into battery still allowed the gun to go 'click'. It did not go boom out of battery, though. Note to self: Silver Bear is a no-go with this gun.

silver bear

I would stay away from wolff brand ammo period, IMO, and if silver bear is steel cased, FOR SURE..

I don't know if Ruger's customer service could possibly be any better than Kel Tec. They're friggin' awesome. They'll just send you parts on a mention, not that you even need 'em. Guys are great. I hear all sorts of fantastic stories.

I've never had to send my P11 or any of my Rugers back, though, so I'm going on what I'm told. I had a P95 that would fail to feed one round out of 200 once with Pro Mag magazines, but it was the magazines, were for a P85. DOH! The 10 rounders that came with it worked fine.

thegooch......Man, I've seen smoother feed ramps on a Jennings!

To me the LCP is a gun that you will probably run one thousand rounds through in the next fifteen or twenty years. For something to run a thousand per month through, I'll get something that is a LOT bigger, a LOT heavier and a WHOLE LOT more expensive.

I'm not real sure about the "whole lot more expensive" part. I would imagine a sub 400 dollar P95 would run as long as a Glock. For that matter, Glocks ain't all THAT expensive. I have a P90 that is flawless, gave about 300 for it 17 years ago, and I don't reckon I could wear it out in 3 lifetimes.

I've got a Kel Tec P11 still running strong after 11K+ rounds count in the last dozen years. It's never failed me. I carry it constantly, though I don't shoot it as much as I once did now days. But, then, I have a 380 that I've had longer, bet it ain't had 1K fired though in its lifetime. LOL Well, maybe between 1 and 2K, but no more. I've carried it a lot, but not fired it a lot. So you sure have a point there. I'm set up for 9x19 on a Dillon Square Deal progressive, though, and load .380 on a single stage press. I don't particularly like reloading .380, too hard on the fingers and eyes. LOL 9x19 ain't a lot better, but on the progressive, it don't take as many steps. I don't really like shooting that .380 anyway, not all that accurate, and setting up for it on one of my progressives just seems like a waste of money. In autos, my 9s and my .45 are my favorite range guns, well, other than .22. My new to me Ruger Mk 2 has sort of taken over. I love shootin' that thing.

I had some Wolf Gold Performance ammo for my old Bersa .380 (94 grain HP) and that stuff was so weak it scared me. At 20 yards it barely moved my four-inch spinner target. I could see the bullets hitting the half-inch steel disk and falling on the ground. Winchester white box FMJ ammo would make the spinner spin for a revolution or two, anyway. I wouldn't want to get shot with a .380 and consider it strong enough for carrying, but if I had to get shot with a .380, I'd hope the shooter was using Wolf ammo.

I just got done calling Keltec customer service.
Told them my problem (SU16 failure to extract).
Got my address and sending new extractor kit today.
Did not ask for serial number or proof of purchase
