Anybody know what height rings I should buy when installing the SS on a 10FP? 1 inch...3/4 high?
The scope tube is 30mm, so you'll want to get 30mm rings. As for height, the objective is 42mm so it will depend on the height of the base. I used Ken Farrell standard rings on a Ken Farrell 20MOA base on my 10FP.

You have to know the actual dimensions. I used low rings for my SS when mounting on my Rem 700 Tactical. Those rings are 1/4 inch from the base to the bottom of the scope tube. This is on a Warne Picatinny mount.
This is not any too high. I would not go any higher.
See attached pic.

Falconeer asked to see my SS on a Barrett. This is from Tiger Valley (outside of Waco, Texas) in March 2005. The photo was taken just after firing. Note the ejecting spent case and the tarp flaps turned up at the next shooting position. I believe I have something like 600+ rounds through the rifle with the SS scope and it does just fine.

Double Naught Spy: Snazzy! Must be amazing to shoot. I checked my copy of "Modern Reloading" on the 50 Browning; with a 750 grain jacketed bullet you're looking at 195 to 218 grains of Accurate 8700 powder. That'll move the bullet between 2322 and 2700 FPS. For comparison a 45 takes betwen 5 & 7 grains of powder. :p

Same here, but in my opinion, SWFA is better except that they don't have pictures up yet.

All four scopes also have a reticle focus adjustment

Since most people aren't 20/20 and as you get old even if you are still 20/20 you can't focus close up *every* scope and all but the cheapest cameras have a dioper focus adjustment built in.

I had lasik last January and I'm slowly undoing all the near maxed out adjustments on my scopes.

Wow this thread was from 2006. SWFA owns the Super Sniper brand for those of you living under a rock without an internet connection or something.
