Well as many of you know I posted a thread about my recent Tommy Gun purchase and promised a range report once I got out and tried it.
Here's my original thread:

Well here's my report, its not much of a range report but I'll add to it over time as I put more rounds through it. As for how it performed today, I very impressed!
I only put a 150rds through it, but it was a hoot to shoot and seems very accurate. I only set my target out at 50 yards, since I only had an hour to shoot and just wanted to see how it ran. The stick mag worked perfectly, 100rds without issue. The drum mag performed well also, but the bolt didn't close all the way a couple times so I had to assist it a tiny bit to close it fully. I didn't load the drum up all the way either, I only put in 25rds twice.
The only other complaint I have is that the bolt doesn't hold open on the last shot with the the drum mag. In order to remove the drum mag you need to have the bolt back all the way. The bolt is also very strong and hard to hold open. On top of all that you need to raise the mag release lever to allow the mag to slide out. If I had three hands this would be an easy task, but as it turns out I don't. Really you need one hand to hold the bolt back, one hand to hold the gun and raise the mag release and another hand to remove the mag.
If anyone knows any tricks to this process that make it easier PLEASE let me know. The drum mag is a lot of fun to use but the stick mag is much, much faster to change and obviously faster to reload. So I'll most likely invest in a few more stick mags and save the drum for special occasions.
Anyway here's another pic of the gun and one of the targets I shot up. A few stray shots here and there but overall I was quite pleased. Its certainly a different experience than shooting any of my other rifles. The gun makes a very distinctive sound when it goes off and boy oh boy is it fun to shoot, I wish I had a barrel of ammo and all day to shoot it!
