I recently picked up a Walther PPX 9mm for a steal at $199. I finally got out the the range with it yesterday. I ran 135 rounds through it with no issues. The gun is a bit blocky looking, but it fits great in my hand. 365 more rounds and it will join the carry rotation.

Initially Walther only offered a 1 year warranty, but they have since stated that they have extended it to a lifetime warranty. That makes me feel a lot better about the gun.

A local gun shop got it in with a few other guns. He puts up a deal of the week and I happened to get it that week. Came in with a high dollar AR that he made his money off of, so he was able to sell this gun cheap. He said it had no issues and I haven't found any yet.

Just FYI: NEVER take out the pin for the hammer, there is a small part that falls out and is a bear to put back. Took me about 1.5 hours to get it lined up and in again.

Nice gun. They are kind of odd looking but they shoot great. Mine has Dawson competition sights on it now. You got a great deal by the way. I paid $279. :)

Railroader, Have you been able to get a decent holster for it? I have an Alien Gear cloak tuck 3.0 and have been planning to get a new shell for it that will fit the PPX.

Update: Just ordered a new Alien Gear shell for the PPX.

What a deal! Those are great guns. I'd probably have one if I didn't have the PPQ first. But if I find one for $199 locally I'll surely buy it!

Wow, I paid $350 for mine last year. The PPX is a great gun, I really enjoy shooting mine.

I also have the 40 S&W version, got that one from CDNN Sports for $335 out the door.

It's too bad they stopped making them. They're great guns.

I wrote a pretty detailed review on the Hi Point Forum with a handful of pics.

Here's a link:

I'd just put it here if it wasn't so much work.
They can still be had NIB at CDNN:

IMO they look FAR better in two tone stainless(makes them look less Hi Point)
