Well it was a good day bad day thing. Shoot the Sharps at 100 yds testing some loads with Swiss 1.5 with 61 grs 525 gr Saeco #745 boolit cast 30-1 modified Emmerts lube.
With a dead center hold nice small groups 2" max spread recoil wasn't bad but I think a tad more than the Goex FFg I was using, next same booit but 65 grs Swiss 1.5 recoil was up in fact up enough my front sight fell off after 5 rounds, needs to be shimmed. I used a blow tube between each shot and fouling was minimal. Can't wait to get back out after front sight is shimmed. I think what happened is I removed the Lyman #17 that was on the rifle and put the stock silver blade back on and the 1st owner must have opened the slot up to make the Lyman fit. A shim will fix that.
Side note I shot some 500 gr boolits with 70 grs Goex FFg and a few keyholed
No targets to show we left the range inbetween cease fires, range officer said he'd pick our targets up.
All in all I'm a happy camper I like the 61 gr load can't wait to try it at 200+ yds
