Rangefinding scope for M1A

A friend of mine has an M1A and is looking for a rangefinding scope that he can use out to 700 yards, and he does NOT want mil-dot if he can avoid it.

He is also wondering about Leatherwood A.R.T. scopes, quality, durability, anything he can found out about them.

His price range is about $400, and used IS an option as long as the scope works.

Both he and I would appreciate any input you can give!!! THANKS!!!

Wow...I'm selling mine:

Springfield-Armory, 2nd Generation scope, 4-14X56MM A.O., 30MM tube, has internal level. It ranges from 200 meters out to 1,000. It has a 30mm tube. I also have the M1A mount and rings. PM me if interested we can discuss price. It does not have mil-dots. Here is one pic.
