I'm not advising anybody to shoot these rounds... wink... I'm just sharing my experience.

Bought 4 boxes over the net a couple of weeks ago... got em real cheap for carry ammo... about half of what I normally pay.

Took a box out to the gravel pit over the weekend and fired a few through my CZ 75b and my XD.

I was throwing 2" five shot groups about 1-1/2" high with both guns at 10 yards... without prohibitive recoil and the empties were landing right where they usually land, not flying to the moon so the ammo wasn't battering me or my guns.

I'm pretty pleased by those results.

I wouldn't wanna go through cases of this stuff... and I'll definately pass on loading up the Kel Tec P-11 with Ranger +p+... but if you carry a full sized 9mm or you have one hanging around the house for home defense, I wouldn't be surprised if you liked this ammo too.

It's good ammo. I got good results from Gold Dot +P+ too. That said, I prefer regular Gold Dot +P. It allows for slightly faster follow up shots.

bill, where did you find your deal? I could use a couple of boxes myself.

I got it at SGammo

Heres a link to the +p+... looks like they've still got plenty left.

I bought 4 boxes of the 9mm +p+ and 4 boxes of the 45 acp +p... 400 rounds of high quality carry ammo... I paid $249.60 including the shipping... 62.5 cents per round.

I placed my order late Sunday night and had the ammo on my doorstep when I got home on Friday afternoon.

147gr HST is a better performer.
No it's not. Yes it is. NO it's not. YES it is! No, and double stamp my... You can't triple stamp a double stamp! You can't triple stamp a double stamp!

Whatever. Different pistols, different ammo, blah, blah...

I like the Ranger T-Series 127gr. +P+ too. I use the Ranger T-Series in all the carry loads I use that I don't load for and they perform pretty well. But I have heard of some serious problems with Winchester's QC. Some are quite serious, and there was a thread about it as recent as this weekend, but I haven't had a problem.

If I do have a problem like the ones I've read about and I catch it before they do and they don't issue a recall at the very least (I know it is impractical, but it is the thought that counts!) then I'll drop them and never look back. I hate buying any ammo, but I hate loading high pressure ammo without testing gear to check safety more.

I'd use the Gold Dot in +P+ or +P if I could find it, but the T-Series has always worked and it is close and available. The only reason I like the T-Series over anything else in high pressure from a major maker is the fact I can tell anti's my pistol is loaded with "new and improved Black Talons"!

+P and +P+ isn't usually the most accurate ammo anyway, it isn't loaded for that. The middle of the road loads usually are, and for the most accurate box ammo, I think Hornady's Custom XTP has the title. Most of my accuracy handloads are the same as their factory loads. Something to consider.

Nice report, but I wouldn't recommend the round for home defense.
Why? Why not? Inquiring minds want to know. You can't be taken seriously with comments like that, it is like walking into the grocery store for specific items but just walking up to the first person you see and saying, "Want food." I get that, but more info would be helpful.
