Wow what an exciting day at the range. Previously I could not get this Colt to group no tighter than 8 inches at 50 yards. So after speaking with the great people at Ransom Rest International and them giving me a few tips on how to use it, along with me buying some parts to refurb the mechanics of the rest which I really do not think was needed -- all is great. I truly think the Colt did not group well due to the barrel bushing, it was very loose. I ordered a Briley bushing and hand fit it to the slide and barrel and it is now one tight 1911.

The 50 yard range was crowded today with no one on the 25 yard range so I decided to try it out there. This is not ideal it is an old wooden bench that's not very sturdy. Considering all of this I am very happy now with both the Colt and Ransom Rest. Stay tuned for more pistol reviews and accuracy testing with this Circa 1989 ransom rest. Talk about being built to last. With world class support and products built to last trust Ransom Rest International for ringing out the most accuracy from your pistol.

Not affiliated in anyway, I am just proud to see an American company with world class support and top notch products.

Thank you for your videos. They take effort and care to make.

Learned more about rests. Clearly difficult to hold a handgun to a single orientation across firings.

Glad the new bushing fixed the precision issue with the Colt.

Good videos. I have two of the Gen ones. One blue, one stainless. They both shoot really great. Want to shoot some lead. What brand of cast are you using or do you cast your own? I use AA#9. Think I'll try some longshot.
