How much of that is due to sponsorship.?

Very little, if any, from what I have seen in the case of brass.

Brass is cheap, even expensive brass, in the grand scheme of PRS competition and missing targets is NOT cheap. Even if we get it for free, if there was a significant difference, nobody would shoot anything but the ONE brass which worked best. Nobody wants to drop points at a match - so saving $200 per year (less than 1 match fee) to save on brass doesn’t make much sense.

The stats for optics or stocks are widely skewed by sponsorships and sponsor support (guys win scopes and donate or sell them to other shooters, and Vortex absolutely floods pride tables - thankfully). Action stats are also kinda skewed by sponsorships (not as much and not in the ways you’d think). But not really brass. Brass just doesn’t cost enough to skew guys over and missing DOES cost enough.

PRS is largely in its infancy, and doesn’t seem to really carry over much from other shooting sports. Less a few, a lot of guys who didn’t find bliss in other disciplines have carved out a niche in PR. Such we see a lot of things I never imagined in other disciplines, hell, a few guys used factory ammo at the Finale!

I have not tried any yet.

It is good. Not Lapua great, but very good. I bought a 250 set of Valkyrie brass. All were within four grains in weight, save one. A grain light at 113. The huge majority being in one group of 115.5-16.5.
So good, but not perfect.

I started measuring for trimming and quit. They were a touch short for my liking, but close enough together I left them for next time.

(That’s as far as I got though. A half review. I’ve gone over board on the house and have fifty left to fire. Then, life. Sigh. I can’t tell you how sick of drywall I am.

It also got my vanity on the other side. :(
A sheet of drywall is 100 Hornady .224 bullets! )
