I've been using small rifle primer brass since buying a 6.5 Creedmoor. Now, anywhere I look, SRP brass is not available. But, large rifle primer brass is.

Are they stopping manufacturing SRP brass and shifting to LRP brass exclusively? Or, is something else going on?

Supply and demand friend I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that LRP brass demand far outweighs SRP brass it will show up again just be patient or use LRP brass

Keep an eye on Starline, they will eventually have it.

I've been saving every piece I find at the range. I'm well stocked on SRP and hurtin' on LRP. Doesn't matter the price, as soon as I can find a brick of LRP locally I'm on it.

I can find Lapua SRP 6.5 Creedmoor brass here in Canada. $184.00 + shipping. That's $133.50 USD +shipping for you guys.

All the small primer 6.5CM I'm finding at the range is Federal. If you really need it that bad you could buy factory ammo and reuse the cases. I'm not willing to spend the $$$ their asking for factory ammo, but it is an option.

I had to laugh. I went to the site and clicked the buy button and the page says their store is under construction. I used to rollerblade right past the original Peterson cartridge factory in northern Cincinnati and that site was also under construction... for DECADES. It was being converted to office buildings but the toxic chemicals from the cartridge factory resulted in a massive cleanup required before the site could be developed. Hopefully, their web site construction goes a little faster!

I dont think you can buy it directly, they have 2 vendors I believe. They are producing and selling it.

I don't recommend small primer 6.5 with ballpowder unless you know you are always going to be loading at least a 95% full case (once the bullet is seated).
I prefer stick powder so small primer is fine.

I've seen it for sale in a local gunshop and at Cabelas.
Usually only in calibers I've only read about and at insanely high prices.

I got a 6.5CM last year and looked hard for SR brass, since you could not find LR primers. Total fail. Places that said they had it didn't. Out of stock everywhere. If the Graf's deal Kaldor posted was available, I'd have jumped on it. I got lucky and bought 2K of LRP's from a buddy that doesn't load LRP stuff anymore.

Went to the range today and despite misplacing the trigger lock key for my Les Baer I had a great day.
The range is owned by a client of mine so he lets me scrounge up brass from his buckets.
I came away with the following.
106 pieces of Federal 6.5 Creedmoor small primer brass along with 19 pieces of Winchester LRP and 12 pieces of Hornady LRP.
35 pieces of 44 Magnum and 41 pieces of 45 Long Colt.

The 45LC cases I will be prepping them and giving them to one of the RO's.
