It's not an air-soft.
You can see the bullets kicking up dirt in front of the target.
Anyway, that is one humongous model Helo, probably gyro stablized, and a .45's recoil snap would have little effect on it.
Mmm, I'm going to have to say it's a real Springfield 1911. Unless they spent way too much time doctoring the video with special effects and after effects, that is clearly a real pistol firing live rounds.
1) You can see muzzle flash. 2) You can see smoke discharge. 3) You can see earth disturbed with each firing. 4) You can see the gun cycle with each round, and recoil slightly when fired.
Well this is another case of me talking without knowing. I have not viewed the video (dial-up.)
Anyway, how big is humongous? A 1911 weights about 2.5 lbs. The biggest model helos I’ve seen (no gas tank, spray the fuel on the air filter for <5 minutes of flight) looked to be about 5 lbs. I’m guessing you need a craft bigger than 20 lbs, with a 6 or 9 foot rotor diameter to lift a 2.5 lbs payload and still be able to get forward speed.
Also recoil for a standard load .45 ACP is 20 or 30 pounds force, isn’t it? That’s going to push even a 50 lbs model several few inches, and if not lined up exactly with the center of mass, recoil is going to want to cause rotation. How much can you unsettle a RC copter before you lose control?
