While three poise scales seem popular to some folks, I would highly recommend the older large chassis models with the hard cover.

Ohaus 10-10 -tan
RCBS10-10 -green
Lyman M-5 - burnt orange
Ohaus 10-05 -tan
Ohaus 505- red one

Small chassis;
Lyman D-5 - gray
RCBS 5-10 green

All made in NJ not Mexico or China

If a fella truly wants a great scale contact Scott for one he has ready to ship.

I'm just rebuilding the original "dial0grain" 1930's style. Whether you want to call it a scale or a balance is open to debate. It's a traditional lab balance with calibrated dial to add weight. I wish reloading scales were made to this quality.

In this nine page 2011 thread, Boyd talks about sending his scale to Scott Parker, weighing Varget down to single kernel, proper cleaning and maintenace, etc.

I tried to contact Parker years ago but once I found out my out of the box 5-0-5 I posted the earlier video of and this old 10-10 could resolve a single kernel, I never did send him one to mess with.

They could but price increase would be more than what average consumer would want to spend so their sales revenue would go down significantly, especially when competition from higher resolution digital scales could sell for less.

And I believe that's why Ohaus stopped making scales in the US and stopped selling "Made in USA" RCBS/Dillon beam scales.

You can now buy a brand new white Ohaus 5-0-5 at $62 made in China - https://www.amazon.com/OHAUS-30393272-Reloading-Height-Length/dp/B075VY8ZYB?th=1

That's why I still use my RCBS 10-10. Bought new in '78. Works just fine. Made in NJ.
