I have a RCBS uniflow powder measure I plan on buying the RCBS case activated linkage kit for and using it on my LNL AP my question is will any of the powder thru expanders work with the RCBS

Yes, and you have to do some adjustments.

I posted some pictures a while back about how to do it.

Here is my spliced together approach. Works well.

I found your other posts I had called Hornady and they said it wouldn't work on the uniflow I'am going to get the Hornady with your pictures I'll have a good place to start with the adjustments

So it won't work? News to me since I have loaded around 20,000 rnds with my setup since I converted over.

Actually, you could even make the RCBS work with Hornady inserts but only for certain cases. The rcbs has a machined lip that keeps the die from dropping out the bottom, the hornady has a cir-clip or e-clip that holds it in. Thus the hornady can go lower. It can be done for 357 maximum and 357 mag, but it is not generic enough for me.

Thats what they said I called them before I posted here whoever I talked to said I wouldn't be able to adjust enough to to get a full throw on the measure

Trust me. It can be done down to 380 auto. You do have to fiddle with it to get the right stroke setting but it can be done.

When you are adjusting it for the short cases, make sure you keep the actuating arm with the pin in it from jamming because you ran out of stoke. I had to file the hole a bit bigger on mine to make it work. You will know it if it happens.

The Hornady linkage is about $20.00 cheaper and works with the Uniflow. As near as I can determine, both offerings are identical.

If you compare them very closely you will see the stroke arm of the hornady is a bit longer and the and the expanders are a bit shorter along with the circ-cllip allowing a bit deeper through. You can't make the RCBS work with just the hornady inserts for most rounds, you really need to buy both kits and splice them together.
