Ordered my PrimerCatcher from Tom on Monday morning. It was delivered just after noon today.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner (for those of you who shoot craps).

No lengthy instructions, just four pictures. I pulled out my RCBS POS catcher, cleaned up the area, removed the duct tape that acted as a cushion for the RCBS and installed in approximately seven seconds. It works as advertised. Excellent product. I am happy and my dog will be healthier and happier for the upgrade. I always approach a new product with a grain of salt. Salt free diet for this product.

TheGerman gave me the primer catcher 2 years ago through PIF on this forum. At that time it did not come with the ram plug, that stops the occasional spent primer from popping out the front slot on the ram and going who knows where (c'mon, everyone has chased a runaway primer or two sometime in their reloading career). I saw the above referenced thread, and have to report that this primer catcher has worked extremely well for me since I received it. TheGerman, upon seeing my response in this thread https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/this-says-alot-about-us.823572/ promptly offered to send me some plugs. Not only did he send plugs, he also sent a whole new primer catcher, spare plugs and all. I'll be PIF'ing most of this gift to a friend who has admired my primer catcher and will spread the word about this product and the man who makes it. Quality product, quality THR member. CCW

I got my RC press back in the late 70's or early 80's. I haven't the slightest idea what model/mark it is. My press needs one of those.

- The latest model, the Rock Chucker IV / Supreme has a "IV" casted on the side and kicks the spent primers out in the back of the ram. The handle bar is offset to the right or left
- The original Rock Chucker and Rock Chucker II kick the spent primers out in the front of the ram and the handle bar is offset to the right. They have the half moon shaped primer trays.
- The Rock Chucker Junior press looks similar to the Rock Chucker press, but has the handle bar aligned in the middle of the press.
- The Partner press is much smaller, and ejects the spent primers out to the right hand side, the handle bar is aligned in the middle of the press (catcher for that one is coming soon)

Hope this helps!

I have waited one week to re enter my loading room. Not one primer jumped up the tube and onto my loading bench or the press. That is proof positive there are no trolls or demons lurking below my bench.

While the catcher for the JR press is still not where I want it to be, I have finished the one for the RCBS Partner press! Did the final test with about 400 .40 S&W today and every single primer got caught in the catcher/tube :)
