I don't know about Lyman, Lee, or Hornaday or any of the other reloading equipment retailers, but in my opinion, RCBS has the best customer service. I loaned a reloading die set to a friend who let his friend decap his loads, I don't know what happened but it came back with the decapping pin bent and the rod where the decap pin cover screws onto was also bent. I emailed RCBS because I didn't know what size the rod was and they sent me the a whole new decapping rod, pin, cover, bushing and stop nut for free. I was going to order one but wasn't sure which one to order. Also my instructions didn't come back either so I let my friend know that I wasn't a happy camper and he said he will look for the instructions and ask his friend about the location of the instructions also. I emailed RCBS but haven't heard back yet, they will probably send me one. The best customer service that I know about so far. I have a set of Lee dies which I assumed were Carbide because they said Carbide on the case, but the only thing that is Carbide is the sizing bulb on the decapping rod, and sure enough I got a case stuck in the die even though I used lube. Guess it was my fault for not checking it out better, used my RCBS stuck case remover to remove the case, what a life saver. I paid $5.00 and had free shipping, they were a little rusty but I soaked them and they work like brand new and I think they were new but they had sat for a lot of years and that is why they were rusty, couldn't beat $5.00 and free shipping. RCBS is the best. I even sent back a .223 Rem die because I buggered up the inside when I had a stuck case, before I had the stuck case remover, and RCBS sent me a new set, guess I buggered it up pretty bad. What customer service!!!

i have always had good luck with all the rcbs dies i have gotten over the years. its only recently that i ran into issues with their brass 12 gauge dies. horrible manufacturing on those. im going on 2 months since the first ones were ordered and right now i have 2 of their die sets sitting on my bench that are both worthless. the first time i emailed them it too over a week to get a response. now i have to sit and wait to see what they plan on doing about the second set

I have a nut that tightens my handle on a Rockchucker in the mail as I type this.

I tried to buy it and couldn’t find it so I emailed their CS. Next morning I got a reply. “It’s being shipped to you, no charge.”

It didn’t fail, break, I just misplaced it. I feel it was on me and I should pay. But that free $1.25 nut will definitely keep me as a customer.

All my dies, except 1, are RCBS. I buy a gun in a new caliber, first thing I do is order a set of RCBS dies for it.

Pretty typical for them, actually.
Hornady's not quite as good but close. Lee has a lot of ground to make up. Right now, I think their CS is about the worst in the industry. Shame because it used to be about the best.

Hornady has the same CS, I’m sure Redding expensive stuff also has good CS!

Lee….. buy a spare for parts
I don't know how Redding is, I've never had to contact their customer service. I did have to call Hornady once and they were almost as good as RCBS. I had to call Lyman once and they wanted to troubleshoot problems and finally recommended I buy a newer model as a replacement because the press I bought was too old for support (Lubrisizer 450). I fixed it myself with a replacement nut from Ace. Lee... yeah, just buy two because they're cheap and you'll need the parts, eventually.

Yes I had an issue once and they went above and beyond helping with the situation. They even called me to make sure all was well. At the same time I was looking for their micrometer setup to go with my powder measure. Nowhere to be found online. The good lady at cs said oh I can fix you up and sold me one...

Most of my dealings with RCBS have been about dies. I bought a set of .223 dies and caught a case with a Berdan(?) primer. Went to Cabellas (stupid) and bought a pack of pins and went home and discovered there was no head on them. Called RCBS and asked if I could buy some. No you cant buy them the're coming your way ,free of charge. Well that's great, I'll send the one's I bought by mistake back to you. Nope keep 'em you may need them in the.future.

I've only owned RCBS and Dillon metallic case reloaders over the years. Both have been great with service. RCBS probably gets my nod as being the best, but it's really close.
call Dillion not Email, they take their sweet time to get back with smaller issues

Recently I contacted RCBS about breaking the decapping pin on my 38 Special die that I have used since 2014. They sent me an entirely new decapping pin and 5 extra tips, no charge.

Very impressed with their customer service. They certainly know how to build customer loyalty!

Had a coworker who’d say I love conversations based on opinions because they can go on forever and you’re never wrong (or right).

This is such a conversation. I’ve had several interactions with Lee CS and two with Redding. Both great.

I have used RCBS for over 40 years never an issue with anything I bought from them

Also my instructions didn't come back either so I let my friend know that I wasn't a happy camper and he said he will look for the instructions and ask his friend about the location of the instructions also

If you don't get instruction booklet from friend or rcbs pm me I'll send one of my 10 copies.

Had same problem on my new set that I just got. 2 berdan primed cases and a few with small, our of speck primer holes did the same thing.

RCBS came through for me several times, but the funniest was when I snapped a decapping pin in my .223 set. The customer service guy did the fake exaggerated sigh, "Always you .223 guys snapping pins! I guess I'd better send you extras!" And he did, 5 pins and another complete rod, which came in very handy when I shattered, (not snapped, actually shattered), the pin again on a piece of NATO brass just last week, and there was that nice new rod ready to get to work! No charge - love RCBS.
