Was watching Shooting USA or one of those shows the other night and they were at the shot show talking about all the new products coming out. Well the RCBS booth came up and they were showing manual bullet loader for your press. Being a reloader of course I noticed. It seemed very similar to the Lee bullet loader in that it had a plastic tube where you fill it with bullets and when the bullet gets to the top stroke it would drop the bullet on the case. They were using it on a RCBS progressive press if I remember correctly. They made it sound like it came with different collets to handle different pistol rounds.

Anyway what REALLY got my attention was that price! They claimed it was about $35!!!! I about jumped out of my chair and hit the rewind and watched it 3-4 times....yep they really did say $35! Thats a lot cheaper than an automated bullet feeder and since you can load up a tube it seemed like you would still save time over placing each bullet by hand.

I cant seem to find anything on their website other than the tube bullet feeders.

Sent RCBS an email asking about it and they said it was available now....but I just dont see it anywhere.

Has anyone else seen info on this yet?

Google $28.00 bullet feeder. Basically RCBS borrowed this design. The link you posted is it. Fill the tube and the case mouth activates the bullet drop.

Be aware the RCBS dies use plastic inserts to handle various calibers. Hornady offers a similar die you can add a tube to and get the same result, but their dies are single use and have steel inserts. I'm betting the plastic will not outlast the steel.

Might want to check out the Hornady also- I have 2 (44 and 357) and can vouch that in manual mode (home made plastic tube fed) they will feed hard lead boolits or jacketed very well - very straight in the cases, though you do need a little extra bell but not really that much.

True, but I was thinking bullet feeder on the cheap and since I load lots of calibers....of course if I work with the Hornady bullet feeder die, then upgrade to the automated bullet feeder down the road I would already have the dies....hmmmm.

Either way this looks like a nice alternative to the automated bullet feeder. Just ordered the case feeder so real curious how much time that will save me over setting the case and the bullet.
