RCBS shell plate in Lee press?

I'm sure somebody knows if RCBS shell plates fit in Lee presses or not? I have a set of RCBS dies and I need a shell plate, but I have a Lee press you see. I noticed right away that the expander die will not work with my lee auto-disk powder measure, which is a big bummer. In the future If I buy a set of RCBS dies with a shell plate will they work in my lee press?

The answer is:

It depends on what kind of press you have and what you mean by shell plate. If you are talking about a shell holder (as is normally included with Lee dies and not RCBS dies), then yes, it will work with a Lee press (single stage or turret). If you are talking about a Lee Progressive (like the Pro 1000 or Loadmaster), then you need a shell plate from Lee, a RCBS shell plate (for a RCBS progressive press) won't work.

Ah yes I was confusing terms. I mean shell holder, not shell plate for a progressive press. So RCBS shell holders fit a lee turret press?

Yes. Shell holders are standardized from all the manufactures.

Some Lee shell holders are made for the Auto-Prime tool, and they don't fit anything else, including Lee presses.

Yep, I use several RCBS shellholders on my Lee Classic Turret and several Lee shellholders on my RCBS Rockchucker.
