I have an active thread going about motorizing this case trimmer, but this question is about the case trimmer itself....
When I insert the brass in place in the universal shell holder, the mouth of the brass will not line up with the collet on the trimmer head. The collet (yes I have the correct one) strikes the mouth of the brass on the flat part of the collet and doesn't line up as intended. I have spun and fumbled with the brass trying to make sure it is seated in the chuck jaws properly. No matter what I tried, it strikes the brass lip at about 2 o'clock consistently. There is basically no adjustment that I am aware of unless someone reads this and offers advice. I have been manually lifting the brass mouth to make fit onto the collet properly but this is clearly not right. If I buy the motorized kit for this trimmer I have a problem.
I have added a shim like a scope shim between the mount body and the shell holder head. This works ok but I still think I am missing something here. Ideas?
