Hey guys, this is my first trimmer so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. There is a slight wobble in the rod. I took a couple of videos of the adjustment knob so you can see what I'm talking about.

I have the 3 way cutter, if I lower the deburr tool too much then it will cut into half of the case. This tells me that the wobble is in the full rod. Before I unbolt it and take it back to the store can you guys tell me if its normal?

I'd just call em and see what they'll do. It looks like the wobble is coming from that washer/set ring. They will either replace the part or the whole thing I would assume.

I thought the same thing but what would cause the three way cutter to dig into half of the case at the same point the set washer wobbles outward? Either way I'll call them tomorrow.

I'm sure its not but....

Is it possible the adjustment knob isn't centered on the knob with the tensioner screw correctly...or can you see the rod wobble more on the other end ?

Dont see much of the other end in these vids !

I experienced a slight wobble like that with a new Forster trimmer. Turned out to be the screw holding the bearing to the base wasn't cinched down good. Tightened it up and the wobble disappeared. I don't know how the RCBS is put together, but it might be worth a look.
