Couple years ago, I was looking for an inexpensive 1911.
Bought this one

This has proven to be a rock solid performer for me. Just yesterday, I shot it side-by-side with a new (600 rds, 3 month old) Colt.
We were shooing at a 5 gallon water jug at 75-80 yards. Standing, freehand with either the Colt or the Tisas, I was smacking it 7 or 8 shots out of 10. I am extremely pleased with this Turk 1911.
Only prob I have had with it was the factory 7 rd mag. It is now functioning well after leaving it fully loaded for months at a time. I also used a piece of 800 grit wet/dry paper underneath the mag lips to debur and make that 1st round of a full mag come out a tad easier.
I have also switched from Enos slide glide to TW-25, with good results.
Overall, I rate this item high for anyone interested in not paying $800 plus.
The Colt of course has a much nicer finish. I would demand that on a pistol in that price range. New, the Tisas has a very gritty trigger, though the break was predictable. I now have 7 or 8 K of rounds through it and the trigger difference between the Tisas and the Colt was almost non-existent.
Just 2 cents for anyone interested!
Cheers!
