I bought some Triple-K 7 round 1911 mags from Cabela's and shot them at the range.

They worked, they just didn't reliably hold the slide open on the last shot, so I returned them.

I bought some Sig Sauer 8 round 1911 mags. Hopefully they work better than the Triple-K mags.

Anyone have any experience with these mags in other brand 1911 pistols?

Thanks.

Generally speaking, nobody's going to recommend Triple-K mags. SIG 1911 mags are probably made by CheckMate.

I buy my CheckMate mags from Top Gun Supply http://www.topgunsupply.com/magazines/1911/check-mate.html

Other top makers are Wilson, Chip McCormick, Tripp

I buy my Wilson mags direct from Wilson Combat. They usually have holiday sales http://shopwilsoncombat.com/45-ACP/departments/363/

I usually buy my McCormick mags from Brownell's, which is a great source for all things 1911 http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/index.htm?avs|Make_3=1911

Triple K should only be bought as a last resort. I think the ones I bought for my Tisas 1911 were McCormick, and they work fine.
