Maybe not. The oft derided Muzzlite Mini-14 stock may not be so laughable after all.
If you replace literally all of the guts and safety with machined steel, you end up with a flawlessly funtioning, inexpensive bullpup that has a relatively crisp trigger pull and positive safety.
The top handle was cut off level with two steel plates sandwiching the carry handle, top and bottom. A scope rail was then drilled and tapped to handle an Aimpont.
This one works, gents........ and there's nothing laughable about the performance. If you have access to a machine shop for the conversion you'll have an inexpesnsive functioning pickup truck, kick-around bullpup.
Note the steel trigger.
