Really cool shot at 1200 yards!

Hey guys I wanted to make a video showing what goes into making a long distance shot. I know 1200 yards isn't all that far but hey, it's out there a bit. As you can see conditions were calm and it was a bit cold out. Using the 338 Lapua I had to dial 8.7 mils elevation to make the shot. Let's just say i had a ton of fun hitting this target!

lol, thanks grubby. The actual target size was 14"x15" so not the easiest thing to hit.

I like it when I hit them with the .50, its always boom.... BANG! If the Target is far enough I can get back on the scope and watch the round fly into it. If there's a few of us we call each others shots, if there's more humidity in the air its easier.

water-man it took me 3 shots to hit it, the first two drifted a bit to the right due to the wind so on the 3rd shot I just held over a tad bit and got it.

Nice shot. The long range stuff looks like fun, just expensive to get into it. I just play with the ol 30-06 and .223 out to 600 for now.

Where you doing that long distance shootin' at in the Rockies? I'm in Colorado, just curious. I couldn't see a big orange truck that far away.
