I have a 1970 Model 67-No Dash which has the stainless rear adjustable sight. The stainless sightthrows me off and I would like to change the assebly out to a black one. Does anyone have a source for these. The only thing I foundso far are for newer Model 67's.

Check with either Brownells or Gun parts Corp (Numrich Arms) for the replacement rear sight. You may also consider spraying the ss part with Brownells flat black spray and bake, aerosol paint. Good stuff, I have used it many times in various colors.

Just knock the glare down with a black sharpie. Any alteration from factory spec will devalue your gun.

That's the reason I want a balck replacement assembly, so I can still have the original as well.

Checked Numrich and they have none.

Please don't paint the stainless rear sight....they are somewhat rare as the small stainless parts were rather hard for s&w to machine, thus they weren't produced very long and can be somewhat collectible

you could maybe try Millet on-line
few years back I got the replacement rear black/white outline & bar for a used k-66 from them
but... 1st one w/ pre-drilled tang for the k-frame sat too high, would not adjust low enough to suit me, so I had to get the next lower sight they had in that series (L-frame mebbe, don't remember), which required drilling the screw hole in the tang, but it works really well for me

S&W sells original replacement rear sights for their revolvers in blue and blue w/white outline in several different sizes on their site. They are only $10.58 each which is much less that I've seen anywhere else and they are original S&W sights too.
Look on This Page.
