Thinking of getting one. However I would like to get one that will still be covered by S&W's lifetime warranty, but don't know what dash model they started that. Also, what dash model did they goto locks? I know all about the 686 dash model info, such as the -4 being the best before lock and MIM and the -5 being the last non lock. But I don't think the 64/67 and 686 dash numbers will be the same, so I need help. Also as far as I know the 64 and 67 are the same gun but the 67 has adjustable sights, is this correct? Thanks in advance for any help.

I've got the Model 67-had it about a month and put about 500 rounds through it without a hitch. Yes, it has the rear adjustable sights. Mine really surprised me with it's accuracy. A fun gun to shoot.

Sorry. I don't have a clue in that department. What you need to do is go over to the Smith&Wesson Forum-http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve and ask. There are members there that have forgotten more than I've ever learned. Besides that, I'm just now getting into .38 Special after having shot heavier calibers for years.

Yep,
My 64-2 no lock is fixed sights.
It's a 2" snub, so I don't really need adjustable sights, since it is pretty much just a "Get outta my face!" gun.
