Hello,
Looking for recommendations for an FFL to receive a rifle.

Would prefer someone east of the lake in the Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond area.

I'm familiar with Wade's. Looking for an alternative.

Thanks,
ddc.

Isn't Bull's Eye the store that got put out of business for illegally selling the AR to the DC sniper?

Have you called DJ's Loan and Sport in Bothell?

(425) 486-1919

They currently occupy the position of "MV's favorite Seattle-area gunshop". Unfortunately, my previous "MV's favorite range" apparently closed down (formerly WSI in Bellevue), so I'm always a little torqued when I come home on vacation and can't shoot at WSI. Wade's just isn't quite the same...

No, they are the store that was sued because the "DC Sniper" stole the gun from the store. Big difference. The prior owner sold the store to someone else, who operates it ynder the same name, but kept ownership of the indooor range upstairs.

"Why not just go to the woods? The Wenatchee National Forrest isn't far away..."

 Maybe because he said he is looking for an FFL to do an out of state transfer, not a place to shoot.

that's gets my vote for strangest reply to a thread.... :p

nomadboi had the same question a few months ago. He ended up using Estate Arms in Bellevue at 13626 NE 20th St Bellevue, (425) 644-1900. DJ's is also my favorite shop but I don't know what they charge for a transfer, give them a ring 425-486-1919.

I lifted this from the AR15.com WA board

Pawnbrokers Northwest

$15 transfers. Best part is that you don't even need to go see him until the gun arrives. Just call him up with the name and address of the shop, and he'll mail them the FFL. When the gun arrives, he'll call you. You come in, fill out the 4473, pay him $15 cash, and wait for NICS to say go. This is about as easy as it gets!

Decided to give Estate Arms a call.

Their transfer fee is a straight $10 plus tax so that comes to $10.89 or thereabouts...

That's the lowest I think I've ever heard of; anybody hear of any single digit transfer fees? I think I'm going to give them my business.

I got a quote of $50 from another FFL in the area, told them thanks for your time and Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yep, Estate arms was cheapest, and did well by me. Fun shop to poke around in anyway- lotsa heirloom type guns.

I thought they were selling them illegally and then reporting them as stolen...
